Folder Sweep
MacPrefect includes a component that allows you to sweep specific folders and/or the trash.
By using the Folder Sweep tool you can ensure that there is sufficient disk space by removing unwanted or old items from one or more folders when the machine starts up.
You can configure the way in which Folder Sweep deletes files. You can specify to delete items from the folder or the trash until it is empty, this will remove ALL files. You can also decide whether or not to sweep any sub-folders. There is also the option to provide a safe period during which no files will be deleted from the folders or the trash.
A final option is to delete items from the trash or a folder until there is a certain amount of disk space free on the hard disk.
