Folder Control
MacPrefect includes a component that allows you to lock 'standard' folders.
By using the Folder Control tool you can lock certain folders on the machine. Locking a folder will prevent users from being able to add or remove items from a locked folder. Any sub-folders of a locked folder will also be locked. It is also possible to lock other folders of your choosing, for example, a clip art folder.
The Folder Control Tool also allows you to lock the name of the hard disk, thereby allowing you to make sure all the machines have the same hard disk name, or providing you with a mechanism to uniquely name each machine.
