WatchIT 2.0 >> Overview

WatchIT 2.0 is a powerful time monitoring and billing software solution. This latest release is for pre-Mac OS X computers running versions 7.5.3 to 9.2.2 and works over IP to integrate with WatchIT Xi for Mac OS X. This seamless integration enables full reporting from across a network containing both Macintosh platforms.

Without an accurate knowledge of how long a job took, it's impossible to charge an amount that's fair to both you and your client. Even if you work exclusively on fixed-price jobs it's important to be able to accurately account for money charged versus time spent.

WatchIT differs from traditional timesheet systems in one important respect - it's automatic. The user doesn't have to enter any information as WatchIT monitors the names of the windows on which you work and assigns time accordingly.

If your machine is inactive for a period of time, WatchIT will pause - this paused time can then be assigned to an item of your choice. The actual paused time, as well as a range of other WatchIT Settings are user-configurable.

WatchIT includes a utility called the WatchIT Monitor, to show you exactly what's being logged at any moment.

WatchIT provides powerful reporting on everything that's done: the document name; when work started; what the application was and how long it took. In addition, the Set Logging Info WatchIT utility allows the user to enter his or her name and the particular job and task on which they are working, providing further timesheet information.

WatchIT can be installed in a number of different ways, including an 'invisible' mode. It also includes a network gathering component allowing you to centralize the processing and analysis of work undertaken on your networked machines.
