One of the features in Mac OS 8.5 and later is the new Find File application, which is known as Sherlock. As well as allowing you to search for files in the conventional way, it also now allows you to search the internet. Which internet areas you can search is controlled by the Sherlock PlugIns you have installed, which means new PlugIns can be installed to search different web sites.

We have therefore created a set of Sherlock PlugIns which enable Sherlock to search the FAQs on our web site.

Once you've downloaded them, by clicking on the links below, you should place them in the "Internet Search Sites" folder in your Mac OS 8.5 or later, System folder. If you then launch Find File and switch to the Search Internet panel, you should have new checkboxes for each of our FAQ plugins you've installed.

NOTE: The MacAdmin and MacPrefect FAQs are still protected. This means that through Sherlock you can get a list of these FAQs, but to access them you will still need to enter the name and password of your authorised account for our web site.
