MacPrefect 5 X is for standalone Macintosh computers running Mac OS X. The package includes both versions of MacPrefect, allowing you to install MacPrefect 5 on older Mac OS X machines and enabling you to move up to MacPrefect 5 X without further cost, when later those machines are upgraded to Mac OS X.

It is almost invisible to the user but at the same time protects both the machine and access levels determined by the administrator. MacPrefect 5 X has a number of features: Application Launch Control; Classic Control; Dock Control; Finder Control; Media Access; System Preferences; Menu Control, Folder Control and Print Control.

There is not much competition in this area, but if you need this kind of security on Macs with multiple users then you should look at this package.
